A hall with its own bar under Masaryk dorm at CTU. The projector works with the lights on, there is a lavalier mic, wi-fi and lighting on separate circuits. Coffee breaks and lunches come from Masarykova kolej in the same building.

Catering from the building above

Coffee breaks and lunches are handled by Masarykova kolej, who are in the same building. Nothing gets driven in, you are not chasing a second supplier, and a break takes ten minutes rather than half an hour.

The bar is part of the hall, so coffee, tea and soft drinks run throughout without anyone leaving the room.

Price

Day rate, 8:00–17:00

Training happens during the day, when the bar is not running anyway. The day rate is a straight hall rental including the equipment. It runs all year, holidays included.

We are not VAT registered. For schools and non-profits that is 21% less for the same number.

Weekend rates are per block and per full day. Day hire runs all year, holidays included.

Deposit and cancellation

A 50% deposit confirms your date.
Cancel more than 14 days ahead, you get the full deposit back.
Cancel less than 7 days ahead, the deposit stays with us.
Anywhere in between, we will find you another date.

There is no minimum notice. But book six weeks ahead and you still get to pick your date.

Questions

What trainers ask

Do we need our own adapters for the projector?

The Optoma GT1080e takes standard HDMI. If your laptop only has USB-C or Thunderbolt, bring the adapter to be safe.

Can we project with the lights on?

Yes. 3000 lumens and a short throw, so nobody has to sit in the dark. The lighting runs on separate circuits, so you can dim only the wall with the screen.

Can you handle coffee breaks and lunch?

Yes. Masarykova kolej does the catering and they are in the same building, so nothing gets driven across town and you are not coordinating two suppliers.

How can the room be arranged?

38 tables in four sizes, so theatre rows, group tables and a U-shape all work. We set it up before you arrive.

Is there a microphone for the speaker?

One handheld and one wireless lavalier. The lavalier is the one trainers actually want — hands free and you can move.

Is the wi-fi good enough for a hybrid session?

Wi-fi covers the whole space. Tell us in the enquiry if you plan to stream or run a hybrid session and we will check the setup with you beforehand.
